In 2000, Alcon acquired Summit Autonomous and the LADARVision® laser eye surgery system. Because of the acquisition, you may find LADARVision® referred to as the "Summit Autonomous™ Laser" or the "Autonomous™ Laser," when talking to people or searching the Web. While there may be confusion about the name for a while, you can be sure that both Summit Autonomous™ and LADARVision® are part of Alcon – the company and technology you have been discovering on this site.
